I went on this site a while ago and tried to lose weight. I never actually lost weight. I actually gained quited a bit. When i first came on here about 3 or 4 months ago I was 235. I JUST WEIGHED myself like 10 minutes ago and I am 268. How do I lose weight? I seriously need to. My mom and I are doing this low carb diet and I want to lose weight but i dont want to. Do u understand? I want to lose weight but I want to eat fatty foods. Im so hungry all the time and the stuff my mom prepares and the sizes of the foods she gives me is a serving size but compared to my usual stuff is just NOTHING. Im so fat please help me. Reply from Jo, Age 14 - 06/16/05 - IP#: 68.44.92.xxx if the portion ur mom gives u r too small and u still feel ful go back to your normal amount, BUT down grade a lttle at a time so u get to these proportions but u r comfortable with them, also try drinkin a full glass of water b4 u eat, it helps mee alot, it makes me full faster, remind ur mom that every ones body is different and dont get used to things the same way, i bet shell help u work it out... hope i helped

I have done low carb before and lost like 22 lbs but i didnt like eating the same stuff over and over again and i was running out of ideas so i stopped and gained back allll my weight + more. But if it works for you, then go at it! You don't have to give up the foods you love, you just got to eat them in moderation (which is easier said than done) We all fail many times before we actually succeed. Take one day at a time and try to eat healthy and exercise but if you mess up just remember to get back on track asap, and that tomorrow is another bright new day!
Reply from helen, Age 15 - 06/16/05 - IP#: 68.158.4.xxx first of i would suggest not making the portions as large as your use to but a bit bigger then your moms giving you to me it sounds like you need to shrink your stomach before you can actually focus on a complete diet for example if you eat a large bowl of cereal in the morning when you pour it figure out exactly how many servings you have in that bowl...after you figure it out and there is more then one take half or a whole one out depending on how many servings are in there also..if you dont drink water during the day look at what you do drink how many calories are in there can you switch to diet soda ? or can you just get along with water? also what do you do for excersize? what challenges you and what do you like to do? if you say you dont like doing anything,personally that doesnt effect me its only going to effect you in the long run just experiment with things and if you truley cant find some thing you enjoy find something that will atleast challenge you ..also at night start doing like twenty five crunches and five pushups and if you cant do a push up force yourself to do atleast one or find some free weights and do a couple of bicep curls and pretty soon you will be able to that well good luck and if you have any more questions post or if you liked my advice you can instant message me at britishness89
