I am getting muscle in my stomach area but how do I get rid of the fat?

Whatever you did to get the muscle you have now- I'd continue down that road. You also have to remember that each section of your body needs some fat storage. That means, you can be all muscle-and built, but be overweight, even OBESE and very unhealthy because your body has no fat to align it's organs with. However, if you insist on making your stomach flat- try sit ups, or perhaps a machine that works your upper abs, etc. I believe there's such a machine that may be available at walmart right now called the abdoer- 2. So if you want to check that out, that's great. (: Otherwise if you don't feel like spending any money, just stick with sit ups, palates (which I have no idea how you spell), or follow a work-out video.
