i am sorry to say this but unless you change your lifestyle 100%noone here will see results i see ppl's posts like i went on a diet for a week and i pigged otu today to reward myself? well ..thats not going to help i was heavy for most my life but in august of 2003 i decided i needed to change that i didnt completly banish junk foods bc than i could NEVER stick to it .. i just eat smaller portions and i took up new hobbies to pass my time..I started running cross country last year and i got really good but the whole reason i did that is to get out of my plateu of 130 at 5'7'' ..but it didnt i really feel unless you are doing alot of exercizing (running 4 miles, 3-5 times a week) or something to that extent you guys should not focus mainly on excersizing healtyh eating is 90% of dieting...im not discouraging excersizing because you should do both but if its your main focus its not realistic to loose alot of weight unless you do some tiring excersizing..my advice is to eat healthy and do a little walking joggin or any cardio workout..i do not reccomend swimming if you are judging your weight improvments by the number on the scale because swimming bulks muscles..i am also a swimmer and when i was focusing on swimming i put on alot of weight because its tiring and you would go home and want to eat..healthy or not ..you do not need the extra food when your not doing a slimming excersize..well I Hope this helps you guys !! and post back if you want to ask me any questions ive been there done that and i am willing to help everyone because two years ago so many people helped me achieve what i wanted to ((30 lbs in 3-4 months) and kept it off

thanks for the tip i totally agree except with the 90 percent thing that isnt true because if i only excersized i lost about five pounds in two weeks but if ionly dieted i lost about two in two weeks but if i did both i got up to eight...although some weeks i just plateaued...also i need some help because at this point i cant do any cardio not even swimming because i cant have any impact on my knee until i start and finish physical therapy i really need help on this because i go back to school in exactly a month i would like to take care of it now before my schedule becomes too busy with work and school any tips will be greatly appreciated..

You have some incorrect information. Swimming isn't the only exercise that builds muscle, running and walking and biking and pretty much any exercise you do that is cardio or toning or weight lifting adds muscle, hence adding weight. Although you will not be losing according to the scale, you will become much thinner and will look much better. You are also wrong that 90% of dieting is healthy eating. This is incorrect, exercising and dieting are 50/50 because you can't lose weight with only one. Both are important.
