its different for everyone. I guess I'm in the minority when i say that when i eat breakfast, i get hungrier and eat more throughout the day. With me, i'll be hungry at lunch time whether i eat a big breakfast or not. Eating food too early gets me feeling addicted to it, so i eat more and binge more later on. I wait until lunch to start eating. I don't consider this skipping meals, I just consider it a surer way i won't regret what i eat later.

You are ALWAYS suppose to eat breakfast. Some say that you should eat a fairly large, well balanced breakfast, so that your metabolism starts up in high gear, and works straight through lunch to dinner. So that if you are hungry at lunch, which you normally wouldn't be if you had eaten a large breakfast, then your metabolism is already working at it's greatest and will burn whatever calories you had at lunch at a quicker rate. As opposed to not eating breakfast at all. Not eating breakfast will cause you to become more hungry even quicker through out the day, causing you to eat more and burn less calories.
So, through my rantings, it's best for you to eat a good, well balanced breakfast.

technically it doesnt affect you ....BUT if you are working on speeding up your metabolism it would be easier on you if you ate a little something when you got up ...its not that hard after you get in the habbit of it...just give it a try and see if it does affect your weight loss and if not whatever seems comfortable to you but it will improve lots of things like energy ...so just give it a try!
