Ht. 5'1, Wt. lets say 150 - has anyone had the color stripped out of their hair so they could get a lighter color? is it really bad for your hair? after cleaning my room and dusting and scrubbing and doing dishes, my mom just told me i couldnt get red hair because stripping the color ruins your hair and that red will look bad on me (when i am basicly like a red head, i have pale fair skin and all)and now i just hate her because she had no right to set false expectations for me. i'm going to get red hair whether she likes it or not.

I guess you shouldnt risk it though, but since you really wanted it its to bad..

i know, but i cant dye my hair lighter without stipping it of color first. so no color will work for me really, other than black (i have extremely dark brown hair)

iot makes your hair really dry but u can get a home dye kit get a semi-perminant one incase you domn't like the colour and if you don;t u can change it there are so many shades of red out there i really like aubern

ive never done it but my friend has, she said it really wasnt worth it...so go to the store and just get a at home dye...and dye ur hair red! haha ur parents wont know till u do it...and its permanant u know! haha lata

Ive never done it, but ive heard it makes your hair really dry, so if you go through with it, make sure you go to a good beauty salon and ask them about the effects of stripping the color and what you can do to help it :) Also remember, once your hair starts growing out, youre gonna have to get your roots touched up.
