Ht. 5ft 3in, Wt. 145 - hello, i am katie. i am over wieght. my mom is sending me to this fat camp and i am embaressed. i will only be there for 3 weeks but my friend invited me to a birthday party and i told her i could go before i new i was going to fat camp. what should i do. i dont know what to tell her so she wont be mad and i dont want to tell her the truth. please help me.

Reply from Katie, Age 14 - 08/04/05 - IP#: 139.55.43.xxx make the best of a bad situation like orcy said if ur friend is truely ur friend then she won't mind. she will accept that you need to do something that just happens to conflict with her birthday party. get her a small gift as a sorry and a Happy Birthday thing. And have fun at camp. i've never been to anykind of camp so good luck.
Reply from Orcy, Age 14 - 08/03/05 - IP#: 68.0.210.xxx you need to tell her the truth. she has no reason to get mad, its not your fault your going. if she really is a good friend she wouldnt get mad. she would get mad though if she found out she were lying..and ive looked into fat camps before, and read a lot about them in magazines. they actually look pretty fun, and i bet it will be really helpful . good luck and have a ton of fun =)
