Ht. 5'7, Wt. 230 - today for lunch I had a cup of potato soup and a half of a grilled chesse sandwich is that bad?

I think that was pretty good. I believe that you should not go on a diet where you eat strictly, becuase that will just set you up for failure. I personally, disagree with counting carbs, and calories, and all that crap. You just have to use good judgement, and eat what you feel would be healthy. I know a lot of people will disagree with my opinions, but I don't care. In my opinion, that was great for a lunch.

Both arec high in carbohydrates but fairly low in fat. Its ok as long as you dont have too many carbs later on. Try to eat more lean meats like turkey which are high in protein or fish which has really good fat-burning fat.
