Ht. 5'7, Wt. 150 - Hey, congratulations to everyone on here who has been successful in reaching your goals! It can be hard but if you set your mind to it, you can accomplish it. So, I kinda have a mini success story, I guess you could say. Growing up, I was always pretty small, but when I got to middle school, I gained a lot of weight. I went in and out of stages, chubby, average, chubby again. Anyways, the winter that just passed, I was up to almost 180, so I decided I would do something about it. I ended up losing almost 30 pounds by the summer, but I know I didn't do it healthily. I would go like 2 or 3 days without eating, just drinking water & juice, then I would maybe eat a little bit one day, and continue this cycle. Now my weight fluctuates between 145-150...I look a lot better but I still would like to lose a little more. I would really like to be 130-135 by the end of October...SO I am just wondering if anyone has any tips, or plans that I could possibly go by? I don't think I can follow a strict diet and exercise regimen, because I just don't have the time. I go to school everyday from 8 until 1, and then work 3-11 almost every evening, plus weekends. I was thinking of joining a gym, but I don't want to waste the money and not be able to go. I have an exercise bike that I could use here...and another question...DO CRUNCHES WORK? And if so, how many would you have to do each day in order to actually tone up your stomach? Anyways, good luck to everyone, and like I said, any tips or advice would be greatly appriciated.

Reply from Avery, Age 14 - 09/12/05 - IP#: 69.107.51.xxx Hi, I went from 206 pounds to 102 in 4 months by doing this - 1) drink as much water as you can, its not that hard. Instead of eating 3 normal meals a day, eat 6-8 small meals a day. Sleep as much as you can and dont drink soda. Crunches really strengthen your abs but dont burn fat at all. If you burn all you fat and do a lot of crunches you will get really ripped abs. You can have ripped abs but if you have a layer of fat covering them so what? Hope this helps.
