Ht. 5'5'' 1/2, Wt. 213 - Hey guys! Today i had (nothing) for breakfast, but thats just because i have to be at school by 7 so no time, i had a SMALL bag of chex mix, but that was because my best friend didnt go to school, and i didnt want to get lunch without her, but the thing is i have a problem..im a vegetarian and the only thing they serve is rib sandwiches, cheeseburger, er chicken burger..it comes witha fruit though...what should i do?! I also had water, and a bagel with cream cheese and a peach. RECAP: Small bag of chex mix, bagel with cream cheese, water, and peach. NO SODA DIET lol! Please tell me if i ate something wrong!

nikki - well you arent a proper vegetarian then are you if you eat chicken! vegetarians eat no meat whatso ever and only some veggies eat types of fish. anways meat is important because u need protein for grownth and repair and also many veggies suffer from iron deficiencies es it may be healthier but there are more things that go wrong because your immune systems are weakened!

im also vegi. but i find that if u can eat it u shouuld. its alot leaner than the other choices u make. example. chicken and potatoes for dinner (or fries) you grab just the fries right? well i did. and i put on some weight and kinda blame it on that. lol. umm also meat is good for u. i still cant eat anything other than chicken but i eat alot of that stuff and its helping. goodluck!

There is no reason you need to have meat in your diet. You can get the nutritional contents from other foods and/or supplements, without all the extra fat and other crap. Vegetarians are GENERALLY healthier than meat eaters. Also, from my stand point, you don't need to defend your choice to be a vegetarian. It's a personal decision, that nobody else should try to enfluence.

y r u a vegetarian?? if its all about the animal rights thing- ur shoes r made of animals and i cant think of the other stuff that is made out of animals- u need meat in ur diet- its just not natural- lol

Yeah, bring your lunch to school. Pack it the night before if you have to. I'm also a vegetarian. You can get fake sandwich meat, and it's really good. Some even taste like real meat, if you like that. I usually have for lunch: half sandwich on whole wheat, an apple and some sort of granola bar (usually between 100-150 calories).

cream cheese i fattening so if you can, switch to low fat. Also, you could bring your lunch to school. The fruit is good though to eat so if you forget your lunch, make sure you at least eat that. You did a good job otherwise, although you should probably eat more. Good luck! *Celeste*
