So wish me luck today. But, so far I'm up to 330 cals.. Because I ate a piece of toast with some butter... and I drank some milk.. crazy huh. lol anyhow just thought I'd tell ya'll what I'm doing.. Reply from Lara, Age 19 - 10/17/05 - IP#: 169.229.95.xxx Diet soda does not put you at risk for type 2 diabetes, but it can leech calcium from your bones and the carbonation is bad for your teeth. Also, I've read that even the fake sugar can make you keep craving sweets. Honestly, though, I drink it anyway - as long as you're not drinking ridiculous amounts I wouldn't worry about it, although water is obviously preferable.
Reply from Jessica, Age 18 - 10/17/05 - IP#: 64.12.116.xxx Sodas can be bad for us teens because 1) your bones can become weaker, 2) you're at risk for type 2 diabetes 3) you might get cellulite and 4) the caffine can make you fidgety and anxious. Diet soda and also cause you to feel bloated! You should go to your local book store and puschase the book called "The Diet For Teenagers Only" It's a wonderful guide and very useful! That's were I got all this information I just told you about! Check it out!
