Ht. 5'2'', Wt. 135 - I always hear that diet coke is bad for you and it makes you gain weight, but it has no calories in it. Is it really bad for you?? I don't drink it every day. Mabye 2-3 times a week! Also, wat do you guys eat for breakfast? I need some good ideas.

Um, your body does not store artificial sweetener as fat, although I have heard that the fake sugar makes you crave sweet things more. There are reasons why diet soda isn't the best - carbonation and acid included - but it will not, in and of itself, make you gain weight.

Ok, I know the previous replies don't agree with this, but I don't think that their's anything wrong with diet pop. Some people say that it gives you cancer but there are just as many studies that say it doesn't. When you really look into it their are studies that say everything gives you cancer so it all depends on how the study wants to present to results. I suposse that it would be best not to drink it, but between diet and regular I would pick diet hands down. I don't think you have to worry about ti anyway because you don't drink very much... I drink 7+ cans a day

yes diet coke is really bad for you. i used to think the same thing you did "no cal!!! great i can drink as much as i want!!!"
but i soon learned that the artificial sweetener tricks your body into thinking its real sugar so when your body tries to break it down it can't and just stores it as fat. plus the carbonation in the drink is horrible for your teeth.

i use to drink only diet coke too.. but then i started to thinkabout what it was made out of and anything that can dislove battery acid cant be good for your insides so i cut it out completely. breakfast i usually have a protien bar if im in a hurry or smart start and fruit. i messure out my cereal tho so i dont get more than one serving. eggs and veggies are really good in the morn too.
