Ht. 5'6'', Wt. 160 - actually, i have a different statement to add for discussion, my friend is trying to lose a bunch of weight and she already has lost 35 pounds when she used to be 140. I am worried because i think the weight is being lost WAY too fast because she has lost it in 2 and a half months. She is only eating 2 meals a day and only 300 calories a day. Is this unhealthy? i really want to know because if i can't help her, i will feel like a bad friend, thanx, this is a serious situation!

hEy,i agree this is a realy bad situation! Maby if u R worried about her maby you should talk to her about it. also when i said talk to her don't throw it in her face just go and let it come out in a nice but serious way. Just tell her how you feel about this problem. Also if i was her i would want someone to talk to me no matter wat i sayor refuse to believe. one last thing you should do is tell her that you just want to help her out as a friend and if that dosent help i would go tell a doctor or one of your's or her's family member.Hope this info can help u and great wishes and prayers are sent aimp.

yeah thats really unhealthy.. she should be eating between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.. shes going to gain all the weight back and more once she starts eating normally again. if she weighed 140, i dont think she was overweight in the first place unless she was short

Anorexic's generally eat only 300 calories a day, and since she weighs 105 pounds at 14, unless she is 5 feet tall or less, she is in trouble. You need to tell her you are worried about her and concerned. Do it in the nicest way possible, so that she knows it's cause you care about her. If she won't listen, you should talk to her parents or a school counselor or something, cause that's just not healthy.
