Ht. 5' 7, Wt. NA - Hi everyone. I want to tell you this story. ok - when I was 12 years old, I was 5'3 and weighed about 200 pounds. I was called fatass and other nasty things. Most of my clothes had to be preodered for my size. I HATED myself. I was so depressed that I got bad grades in school. On the other hand, my sister was everything I wanted to be She was 3 years older and very slim. She was 5'8 and weighed ony 118 pounds. The thing is, she wasnt thin in a disgusting way. She had really hard abs and a firm but and lean thighs and arms and big firm breasts (she was 15, almost 16). She even got to be a model on the cover of a fitness magazine. Since that photoshoot, she became a bikini model. In school, she was a really good student and could literally go out with any boy she wanted since she was pretty, fit, and smart, while was small, fat and not smart. She was also really nice (except to me)She rubbed it in every day how great it was to be a model and that I should try to be one. once, she asked my crush out (on purpose). Now, almost 3 years later, things are different. Once, my family went on a 21 day cruise. I controlled myself and did not gain any weight. My sister ate and ate and ate and when she came back, she had this fat jiggle all over her body. She said she gained 15 pounds, but I think it was more like 40. She became depressed and ate her way to 170 pounds. Her grades in school suffered too. Meanwhile, I went on a real diet and lost 70 pounds and now I weight onl 130. I look as fit and healthy as she did before. Its such a great feeling. Thanks for reading.

Reply from Jules, Age 15 - 12/20/05 - IP#: 70.20.3.xxx I agree with Julie. It's great that you lost so much, but you shouldn't treat your sister the way she treated you. I'm not saying you are, but she's probably really sad that she can't be a bikini model anymore, so maybe you should help her out and have her try what you did to lose all that weight. That way, you can both be what you want to be, and neither has to be the one to suffer. By the way, what DID you do to lose all that weight? I'd be willing to try!
Reply from Julie, Age 17 - 12/19/05 - IP#: 4.242.171.xxx Yeah, I'd have to agree with Kimberly. In order to gain a single pound, you have to obtain 3500 more calories than usual, either by eating more or exercising less, or a combination of both. In order to gain 40 lbs, you'd have to gain 140,000 calories. Anyway, you should still be nice to your sister. Dont make her feel bad. Remember how bad it felt? Good job for your success, but I think it's unnecessary to talk about your sister like that.
