Ht. 5'1'', Wt. ... - Ok...so everyone's telling me to do cardio excercise and that you can't spot excercise but what about crunches? They work your abs right? There should be some kind of excercise that concentrates more on the butt and thighs no? Help me out here please oh and thanks to everyone who bothered to give me advice, I really appreciate it.

Reply from Emmy, Age 16 - 12/26/05 - IP#: 70.185.251.xxx Julie is right you cannot spot reduce. But you can strengthen your stomach muscles and have slimmer abs. Keep doing your cardio.You may want to find a video or dvd that focuses on your abs.

Crunches and stuff builds muscle, but doesnt burn fat, and you're never giong to see a six pack (for example) if you have a layer of fat covering it. I mean, everyone has a six pack, most people just have a layer of fat covering it so you cant see it.
