Reply from t, Age 14 - 12/27/05 - IP#: 68.198.106.xxx yea, i do 20 lb dumbells daily, but dont overdue it cuz i am a yr behind in growth (grew 4+ inches since junish). How long on the tredmill would be good to lose like 10 lbs soon, i usually go at 5.0-5.3 mph on tredmill now but that is faster then i used to do.

I know when I go to the gym, I burn 300 calories, in about half an hour, and about 150 on the treadmill in about 20 minutes (and I run pretty fast on it). It all depends on the effort you put into either of them. But speaking from experience, I know you get a GREAT workout on both.
Reply from Helen, Age 16 - 12/27/05 - IP#: 68.217.127.xxx tredmills are harder then the stationary bikes but both are effective... if you are gonna do the tredmill set goals like oh i want to be able to do a mile at 4.o and when you can do that be like 4.5 and when you get to a good enough pace set the incline higher its a great way to get in shape.. also dont forget muscle training
Reply from charlotte, Age 15 - 12/27/05 - IP#: 71.112.36.xxx u burn triple the cals on a tred mill than bike when ur joggin on the tredmill
Reply from Julie, Age 17 - 12/26/05 - IP#: 4.242.172.xxx They are both really good workouts. Why not do both? Like 15 minutes on the treadmill, and then 15 minutes on the bike? (or however long you work out for)
