It took me about 7 - 8 months to loose the weight. I work out 50 + min a day and burn 500 + cals. For breakfast I have oatmeal (150 cals) Lunch : 97% fat free turkery sandwich w/ 35 cal per slice bread (100 cals tops) Dinner : Salad w/ fat free dressing (300 - 400 cals not even) I don't starve myself. I have fruits and veggies for snacks if im hungry and yes once in a while i do slip up and have a few cookies but never allow myself to fill up on them if im still hungry i have something healthy for me like fruit. I love fruit so it's a good thing for me. I also do 100 sit ups a night and 50 push ups. If you do a heart pumpin work out for 30 + min a day your metabolism will burn an extra 13 hours! my mom read it in a health mag she gets and it works for me. I lost 7 pounds in like 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.
