Ht. 5'4'', Wt. 210 - Hey you guys. I know my weight says 210, but im not honestly, drastically overweight. I can run, i can play sports, and skateboard, stuff like that. I have a slight problem..right now im going to a normal highschool, but my mom wants me to get this kind of homeschooling thing, which is like independent study all the time at home, i do my classes online, and then turn it in once a week. i would get to graduate a year early, plus have a job. She basically wants me to do it, so im not as exposed, and she got the idea from alot of the girls mothers that go to my church. i want to do it, because i do have friends at school don't get me wrong...but i dont think its worth it to stay there. So my question is, do you think i should do it..i dont want to get super lazy..i mean i will have a job though..that ill be getting school credits, and paid for. Also its hard being at school and eating healthy cause i dont like to eat before 720 (which is when i leave) and i get my lunch, which they dont have really any healthy choiches, so latley ive been skipping eating til after i walk home, which is about 3..so please let me know what you think, itd be so totally greatful! :]

well i'm in homeschooling now and it's an advantage and a disadvantage. One thing is that u can really focus on your diet. You really don't have to get up early and you have all day to exercise. But the bad thing is that you have to much time on your hands and if you like to eat you will want to eat all the time And you will be craving food all day long. So the decsion is yours. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

I personally believe that homeschooling in any form hinders the growth, espescialy socially of a person. How can you learn to interact with others && speak in front of others, etc, if you are just sitting in front of a computer? As far as homeschooling && weightloss, I know that for me personally it would be very difficult to stay away from food. It doesn't take much to get up && go to the fridge && back to the computer, where as at school if I don't have money or I don't have as much time to get snacks, I don't eat as much. Plus school occupys you more than you realize. You may think your classes are boring, but it's going to be even more dull at home, alone, on your computer. <3

Hmm well first think about your education before you think about eating and stuff like that. Do you plan on going to college after highschool? Can you if you take classes online? But do whatever you think is right. Plus, getting things done a year early does sound kinda nice. But more on eating....since you will be at home, you will be exposed to food at any time. You just got to be careful and make sure you make healthy choices and workout regularly. Good luck!
