Ht. 5'6, Wt. 195 - yo I am so fat! I hate this i really need to find a way to lose weight and fast, i have a wedding to go to april 9th and i wanted to lose 10 pounds before it, do you think that is possible, and I have another question, you know how everyone says that It is bad for you to go on a starvation diet, well isnt that the same when you are fasting? is it bad for you to fast? like what about these people that fast for 20 something days (i saw it from the proud family) anywayz is it bad for them? well i was just wondering thanks bye!

Actually, fasting isn't at all bad as long as you drink lots of liquids (juices mostly). It's a really great thing to do for your body one day, once a month because it cleans your system and research has shown that it can possibly add 10 more years to your life. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Hey, you could definately loose that weight if you tried. Ya starving yourself is bad because your body thinks you are starving, so when you do eat something your body will save it as fat because it thinks you are going to starve it again. I thnk if you just diet and exersize you'll be fine. Good Luck(not that you'll need it)

fasting is bad. It slows your metabolism, which means that you will burn calories at a slower pace. That means the next time you eat a fattening food or a high calorie food, like suppose you eat a large blizzard at Dairy Queen, and you barely exersise, you would gain weight.

Yeah its bad to go on a starvation diet, and too me its not a bad thing to fast because its a religous thing and im christian. I guess one is bad and one isnt for the different reasons. its very possible to lose 10 pounds as long as you do it right. try to get at least an hour of intense cardio a day and just cut out all sodas juices and junk food. its working for me. good luck!
