Ht. 5'5, Wt. 155 - Okay well i went to tone teen and go to this link....i put in 180 lbs and it says u would burn 1680 calories a day even if u stayed in bed all day...not even moving. Is this true? http://toneteen.com/tools/metabolism.htm
Reply from Shan, Age 19 - 03/27/06 - IP#: 70.80.115.xxx Yes it's right. This is the reason we have to eat. So our body can breathe and metabolize etc.. So basically, if you eat less then that you will lose weight. It takes about 3500 calories less to lose a pound. So if you eat 100 calories less then that a day, you'll lose a pound in 35 days. This is also why exersize is so important. It adds on to this energy deficit so you'll lose weight faster.
Reply from Lindsey, Age 10 - 03/26/06 - IP#: 207.200.116.xxx It is true because you burn cals by breathing and stuff and we wouldn't keep droppng weight because you eat a lot of cals in a day. It may be a little off but, whatever.

Reply from *.:Teresa:.*, Age 14 - 03/26/06 - IP#: 69.85.150.xxx Yeah ive seen that too, and i dont really understand it. I mean if were burning calories just staying in bed and then we eat LESS then how much were burning "well we stay in bed all day" shouldnt we be dropping weight constantly??
