Hey Dan, guess what? Not everybody loses weight the exact same way that you do. And you know what? Distracting oneself from the temptations of constant eating is a good way to assist in healthy weight loss.Dude, don't trash others ideals of weight loss because you chose another route. And by the way, i've lost over 100 pounds, so i know that finding distractions to help in weight loss do work. Umm congrats in your weight loss..

overeating isn't an eating disorder- but compulsive overeating is. why else would people be killing themselves by overeating every single day until they hjave a heart attack. it's a mentality not unlike anorexia. anorexics take control by not eatinf, and overeaters (the ones with the real disease) eat because they have no control and they are striving to fill that lack of something within themselves with food. trust me- no one consciously chooses to be obese- perhaps sumo wreslers- but that is also done healthfully....hm...

i agree with dan- if you want to loose weight and need to stop yourself from indugling- if you dont have any willpower stuff like reading and chewing gum isnt going to stop you from eating- duh

the whole point is to destact u from eating, my suggestion is eat an apple it takes a while to eat and its good for u so even though its eating its okay. and some people dan cant control it well. its a eating disorded like anorexia but not as dangerous, but it does have its dangers
