I have a daughter who is 8 years old and weighs 120 pounds. would like some advice about how to diet with her without hurting her self esteem or feelings. please help
Reply from Anna, Child's Age 12 - 10/12/03 - IP#: 66.81.249.xxx eat twice a day, for breakfast eat fruit or salad or something healthy .For lunch eat what is made not alot.If you are not full then you could eat more fruit and no soda it is very fattening instead drink water or sugar free juice.So she doesn't feel like you're dietting her give her a fat and sugar free snack about once a day.Take a walk with her every day at least half a mile or a mile.Thats it and hope she looses wieght.Bye
Reply from jacey, Child's Age 13 - 04/30/03 - IP#: 152.163.188.xxx you should casualy have her cut back on candy,potato chips,and give her a little less food every day.dont let her eat a ton of junk, espescially if she already had a sweet that day. tell her that she only gets one treat a day. include her siblings in this if she has any. this will help a lot and you should see a difference in 1-2 months.
