Hello, My daughter is 12, 5'1'' and 154 lbs. she wants to lose weight and tries but can never stick with it. any tips?

What my parents did was taught me about nutrition and didn't say I had to lose weight. After a while I just did lose a bit of weight, got exited and then took the rest off. Now I am at my optimal!
