Hi. My daugher is 14 and weighs about 195 pounds. She works out on the treadmill for 10 min and does her pilates vidoe every night. She also eats healthy. But when she goes to weigh herself, she says that she is getting a little heavier. She wants to get down to about 150 or 160(she still wants to have a little meat on her) She has stretch marks on her stomach and arms. She also gave up on chocolate, pop, and chips. Does anyone have any tips or a diet plan, without taking pills?

Hmm...following the food pyramid is actually not so hot of an idea! lol..I'm sorry to say, but if you really look into it you'll see that the food pyramid is actually almost identical to the food pyramid they use to fatten animals up! Sorry to say, but it's true! So just try your best to give your kid healthy foods, I'm having trouble with weight myself, I'm 5'8'' and 235lbs, I can easily get away with saying I'm 180 though, lol. I'm one of the lucky ones :) I can't give many suggestions myself, since I'm not all too successful at the moment, but they do have alot of great resources online for diet plans and what not ;) Good luck! -email: Quatru@hotmail.com

More exercise. 10 minutes of cardio is not nearly enough. She needs to do pilates 3 times a week, cardio for 4. She'd see pretty fast results. When she does cardio it has to be around an hour. You only burn glucose in the first 20 minutes...nothing from your fat stores. Have her eat about 1200 calories a day. A doctor can perscribe a more specific diet plan. *Ray*Ray*
