My daughter is 8 and weights 150 pounds. She has a really big flabby belly. Yesterday her teacher said fatso to her. What can I do against it?

Secondly, just do what alot of the people on this forum are doing, excercise alot(20 minutes is NOT enough), and eat healthy. New studies are showing that calcium is helping people lose weight faster, so drink alot of milk and have alot of calcium in your diet.

That teacher should be punished for what he/she said. Our children go to school to learn and not to be hurt. We put our trust in the school and the teacher to protect and teach our children. It's bad enough the other kids in the school are cruel due to the fact that their parents do not teach them correct behavior. But when someone that you and your child put your trust in turns around and acts like the children out in the playground, it's time to take action. Don't think about it, stand your ground and report that teacher now!

Well, even if she did, that teacher had no right to say "fatso" to her. Obviously that teacher has no idea what it's like to be overweight. It's not easy. Anyway, I'd confront the teacher, tell her (or him) that he/she had no right calling your daughter fatso. If that solves nothing, then talk to the principal. That should help. If that doesn't work, consult the school board, if you have to. And try to encourage your daughter to lose weight. I know it's hard, but with help and encouragement from you, (not like the crap she got from that stupid teacher) she can do it. Lower her portion sizes and get her to exercise more. Hope I helped!
