Just a little story to share. When my son was 3 he was almost 90 pounds and kids his age only came up to below his chest. So I was advised to take him to a pediatric endocrinologist to have him checked. After the tests were done the doctor said that my son's metabolism was fine and that it did seem that he had a bit of and overgrowth. He was big when he was born 10 pounds and 24 inches long. The funny thing is that the doctor looked at me and said "keep him active, feed him healthy and forget about him having a career as a ballerina because he definitely isn't going to be a ballerina"

So I wasn't offended, he was just trying to lighten my mood a bit. My son was over 4 foot tall when he was three so he is big in height and weight. Even now at 13 he is almost 6'3"(just measured his height this weekend).
