Parents, STOP talking about your children like this, behind their back to strangers ,instead get them personal help.

Like calling them names, saying how horrible they look, how lazy they are and such. I completely agree with that because sometimes I cry when I read what some people write about their children they sound so disgusted by their child. I adore my son and I would think nothing less of him whether he was overweight, underweight or anything else. Both my kids are my stars ... the reason I can open my eyes and smile each and every day.
Reply from joe, Child's Age 14 - 08/21/05 - IP#: 66.8.225.xxx Your post is TOTALLY off base. This a support board for parents who are concerned about wanting to help their kids. I personally have received good advice here. Parents who were heavy themselves when they were young sometimes can share with other parents how they felt then. That gives me an idea what my kids may be thinking now. (I didn't start putting on weight until I was 18, so I don't know what pressures a heavy kid faces.) Furthermore, in no way can any of our children be identified. I'd suggest that if you don't like this board, you not come back and leave it for us parents who do appreciate it.
