Hi, another question. How do you motivate your kids to do anything. If i tell my daughter to get off the couch and she says No than how can I force her to do that. Im not going to physicly get her off the couch but if she doesnt want to do somthing she doesnt do it. Example yesterday i told my daughter to go walk with me, she said waking was exausting andshe didnt want to. How can I force her to?

You can't force your Child to exersize or do anything they don't want to. You can limit time spent on the computer or watching TV. Try and find some cool music your kids like and ask them to do an aerobic workout with the music on. Try and eat healthy foods most of the time and don't eat fast food if you can avoid it. also try to talk to your child and make them aware that there are health risks associated with being over weight. Hope this helps!

MAYBE IF THE WALKING INVOLVED SOMETHING SHE IS INTERESTED IN, MAYBE GO TO THE MALL AND WALK AROUND, I HAVE MY SON WALK HIS DOG, SKATING IS GOOD EXERCISE,GO DOWN TOWN AND WALK, ANY TYPE OF WALKING/ACTIVITY IS BETTER THAN SITTING ON THE COUCH. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR DAUGHTER LIKES TO DO AND BE CREATIVE WITH IT, SHE IS A TEEN INCLUDE HER FRIENDS AND SHE WILL BE MORE APT TO DO THINGS. YOU MAY ALSO FINDE HER FRIENDS HAVE MORE MOTIVATION AND CAN HELP GET HER MOVING.

well i have been talking to her and it seems more her problem is with food..she should just try 2 cut back a little more like maybe every week..when she gets thinhner she can start to exercise i mean i dont want 2 do things alot of the time and it takes me a while to acctually do it. if she gets hungry there r fruits and vegetables and if u remove some of the more fattening foods maybe she wont go for themm as much. oh and for the sodas she likes try replacing them with diet(i like coke zero)..well thats what ive been trying to tell her..and thats all the advice i have coming from someone who is like her

Please forgive me. I really didn't mean that your daughter would die young, God forbid. I was simply referring to the oft-repeated line, "I would prefer not to." Bartleby didn't accept the narrator's authority to override his "preference." I'm not a parent, but obviously a parent-child relationship needs to maintain the parent's authority when necessary.

Ok i looked it up. Are you saying my daughter is going to die? Great help. I want to change her attitude not read her a book about some failure who dies because he prefers not to live. My daughter loves life and its indulgences( which are her problem) Dispite her weight she takes good care of her body and face and isnta slob.

Read "Bartleby the Scrivener" by Herman Melville. Your daughter "would prefer not to."
