Hi! Did you know that if your child loses the weight before puberty he/she is less likely to suffer from many self-esteem problems for the rest of their life.

Wow! You're a regular Einstein! Unfortunately, (unless I can see some medical studies, with charts, and testimonials and what not) I'm gonna have to say you're wrong. Because one, a kid that isn't overweight and loses weight before puberty may be teased for being too skinny, and two it depends ont the kid. Some just have self-esteem issues that are related to other things. Self esteem isn't all about weight, though weight can have quite an effect on self esteem. Self esteem is how you feel about yourself as a person. And plenty of people realize it's not their weight that determines WHO they are. It's what's inside that counts.

What makes you say this? I feel self esteem issues arise very early in kids, and once established, are hard to change.
