Reply from T, Child's Age 13 - 08/29/06 - IP#: 24.22.224.xxx First of all if this is true, a 900 lbs 19-year-old, wouldn't you get surgery or stapled stomach. And aparentaly you dont care if JUST NOW your trying to help!!!!
Reply from Debbie, Child's Age 9 - 08/20/06 - IP#: 68.97.219.xxx I'm sorry to hear her troubles and unwillingness to help herself. While you cannot force her to make the best decisions, you control the amounts and qualities of foods she gets especially if she is limited on mobility. She will only be getting the food and amounts you provide. Once she starts losing maybe that will get her to want to lose. While I am totally against weight loss surgeries since unless you change your lifestyle they really don't work and are dangerous, this may be a case where you want to talk to the doctors about it. BUT make sure you do research, if she refuses to follow the diet guidelines from the surgery, it will harm her and can be deadly. Check out different weight loss options and food plans, I personally love weight watchers, but there are others out there that have great results also, just find the one that works best for you. The key is going to be not having unhealthy food available for her to eat and portion control. Bst of luck to you.
Reply from john, Child's Age 12 - 07/31/06 - IP#: 65.9.156.xxx pat, it is your fault, and your wife's for letting her eat as much as she wants, if u want to save your child, you need to follow the hospitals diet, and not give her what she wants, even if she whines and screams, she will die if u give her what she wants, follow the docters diet, and maybe, she will live.
Reply from joe, Child's Age 14 - 07/27/06 - IP#: 66.91.85.xxx I'd suggest you tell your daughter's doctors what you posted here. I'd suggest bringing in a psychologist to speak with your dauighter. At this point, she's probably very confused about everything. I'm concerned that her eating seems to be self-destructive. I'm speaking from the perspective of being a big guy myself, 5'10", 350+ and my sons are overweight too, but active---so believe me, I have NOTHING against heavy people. It's just that your daughter seems to have many problems and her size is the visible example of her problems. My best wishes are with you all---you obvious care about your daughter. The main thing now is to get her to care about herself.
Reply from Matthew, Child's Age 7 - 07/27/06 - IP#: 71.132.214.xxx well im sorry to hear about that but the good news is that she is still here, well maybe surgery to get her smaller then she could work out and stay thin, or maybe if she had a boyfriend in her life she would be motivated to lose weight, does she do anything active? Maybe she could cut down on the food, or give her less, well i dont know if any of this helped but i hope for all the best for you and her, if u want to talk or if she would talk and maybe talking to someone would motivate her, email me at wildernes44494@yahoo.com
