first off you should motivate her. let her know that you still love her even thought she may be overweight. and take it step by step. try eating salads for dinner with the family and get her used to drinking water at dinner time. give her healthy lunches and go on walks together and give her the right mindset. reward her when she loses weight and make her feel good about herself. for every lb i lose, my grandmother gives me a dollar. she already owes my 6 dollars. good luck!

I think you need to get professional help, anytime someone mentions suicide. Also there are several weight loss programs that offer support groups, maybe that could be something you do together, or just get some friends together for support. eating healthy and exercise is a must for everyone regardless of your weight.

If your daughter has talked to you about suicide, you need to have her see a mental health professional ASAP. Better to be safe than sorry. Your daughter's pediatrician or her school counselor should be able to give you the names of mental health professionals who can help.

i am 5ft. tall and 295 pounds. i am 200 pounds overewight and i am only 14. Talk to her and figure out why she is so depressed. help her exepte her weight but dont make here lose unless she wantes to.. remeber its hrer life and these are her own decions. ask her waht she wants to do. if she is happy being big then let here be big
