Well, if your son is a gainer, then there isn't much you can do. He obviously has a preference for fat, so it's like you trying to make a gay person straight, vice-versa. Just try to have him eat healthier foods, and don't act rashly against him.

There are gainers out there, my son is one. It is not worth trying to stop him if you are sure that he wants to continue to gain...

i didnt say that they didnt exist... but teh fact is that gainers are not a majority of the population. you cant assume such a huge thing.

Ray, it's shocking that you would refer to your son as a gainer. I doubt he is happy ith his weight. Even if he is, it is unhealthy. A lot of his eating disorder could be an emotional problem. It is horrible you would refer to him as a lazy fat ass when he probably needs your help. His weight may even be his cry ut for help. Use positive statements and let him know you care. Thanks

I don't know anyone who loves being overweight. If you push him he will rebel by continuing to eat unhealthy and gain. Try being supportive, provide healthy meals and try family exercise or gym time. At his age he is probably do as he pleases but can always use your support.

no one wants to be fat. do you think we like being made fun of by everyone around us because we cant wear certain clothes or run for long periods of time or simply because we are just naturally bigger than them? no. we hate it. and i think i speak for all of us when i say we would do anything to be skinny. maybe you should support and son and let him realize that if he doesnt change his lifestyle ghe's putting himself at risk and he'll be much happier at a healthier weight. have him join a gym or get a personal trainer. you have to encourage him but dont get on his case to0 often because he will just ignore because trust me, it gets annoying.

You can't force your Child to exersize or do anything they don't want to. You can limit time spent on the computer or watching TV. Try and find some cool music your kids like and ask them to do an aerobic workout with the music on. Try and eat healthy foods most of the time and don't eat fast food if you can avoid it. also try to talk to your child and make them aware that there are health risks associated with being over weight. Hope this helps!

What if he doesn't want to lose weight? He's probably happy the way he is. And if he is, you're not helping matters by saying things like "lazy" and "fat butt"!
