If her diet consists of high sugar drinks and juices, look for alternatives such as diet drinks. Try and motivate her to become active. Make a deal to take a walk 3 times a week around the neighborhood. Remember support is important. If parents and the family has the same healthy attitude it will motivate her and let her know she is not alone.
