Ht. 5'4", Start: 248.5 lb, Today: 240 lb (BMI: 41), Goal: 170 lb - Writing again! I don't know if people are reading and not writing or no one is even reading all the posts at all. But I will keep writing because even if no one is reading it helps me to get through the hard and good times of this journey.
So last time I posted I said I was going to try and start working out at night BUT I haven't done it yet. Some how I still was able to drop another 1 1/2 pounds! I am so proud of myself! I like picking up one of my 5 pound weights and thinking "I have lost more than how much this weighs" and it is really amazing. Class starts Tuesday and I really think being busy during the day will help the pounds come off faster and easier.
I think that is it for now, Good luck on your weight loss journey to all who is reading this!

Oh I meant 70 pounds but still I know what you mean. I am not going to say that the only bad habit of mine was portion size but it was a huge part of it. Through previous crash diets I know denying myself of everything just won't work and will end in failure. But I am happily finding alternatives to fulfill cravings.
Congrats on your weight loss and keeping it all off! Thank you for the friendly support.

Congratulations on making a lifestyle change and the resulting weight loss you've achieved so far! It's an amazing feeling isn't it, knowing you can take control and turn yourself into a healthier person :).
I was reading your previous posts and I noticed you said you want to lose 90 pounds in roughly 6 months. I absolutely believe that you can do whatever you set your mind to, but I also want to mention that, the slower you lose the weight, the more likely it is to stay off in the long run because you've incorporated the weight loss into your lifestyle rather than go on a crash course 'diet' for a few months. Also, it's much less likely you'll get burned out if you just tweak a few habits than go all cold turkey on everything you're used. The reason I say all of this is because I've lost 80lbs. (204 to 125 and I'm 5'1, in case you're curious :D) and it's taken me almost 2 years to accomplish it, but I truly feel that I've changed the way I live and eat and I'm not worried about gaining it back.
Obviously you know what's right for you and I say, go for it however you feel is best. Just make sure you're taking care of your body and it's reasonable needs during the process.
Keep up the amazing job Kayla!! And keep writing, even if you don't get posts back because it really does help to have an outlet :).
