Ht. 5'4", Start: 252 lb, Today: 252 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 150 lb - Hey y’all! I’m going to college in the fall at LSU which is a huge school in the south where every girl is gorgeous. I’ve had a problem with my weight forever and I really am trying to change that. I hope once I get to school I can work out and eat better. Where do you girls shop for the cutest clothes? I wear a 3X in shirts so it’s kinda hard to find cute stuff. A lot of plus size boutiques don’t go that big, and if they do it’s not a stretchy material. I can’t do that because all my weight is in my stomach. It sticks out a lot and I can’t really suck it in, so I like loose things. The maternity clothes at Target are actually really cute, so I have a few things from that section, but it’s embarrassing to shop there. Last time I was looking for some jeans in that section, a lady asked me how far along i was. Pleas tell me your favorite clothing stores!! I need at least a 24 US in pants because I like to wear them over my stomach. I can’t do under because then my shirts don’t pull all the way down and it gets kinda heavy which hurts my back. PLEASE HELP

I know teenagers and young adults at university are on a very tight budget, but two plus sized stores for women I know of are Lane Bryant and Torrid. (they're really expensive tho.) I usually wear 10-12 in US women's pants and Junior's 11-13, and both stores carry my sizes in pants. I'd go online or in-store clearance or I would check on Ebay (check the seller's reputation and rating, and make sure it's new with tags, or if it's used, it's in good condition) Also, some places with Junior's plus sized clothing like JcPenney or Hot Topic (obviously clearance because Hot Topic is expensive at times too) would be fine, but it runs a size small (don't believe the tags when it says 23/24, because it's actually 24/25, hence why I'm usually a 10-12 and 11-13 versus 12-14 and 11-13 or 9-11 and 10-12.) So if you look for Junior's plus size clothing, go for a 25 and a 4XL (just think of Junior's sizing as Italian/French sizing, but with odd numbers). You can also go to Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx for discount plus sized clothing as well. They have ranges from Junior's Plus and Women's plus, and they have 3XL women's there. I also dunno what you think of thrift shopping, but I go thrift shopping when I can, and it's cheap too! You can find 3XL there too.
