That's what I do in the summer and I always enjoy it. Remember that you should eat lots of healthy foods (Preferably fruits, vegetables, milk products and lean meats) and stay away from fried foods and foods with lots of calories and high fat. Fast food is an absolute "no-no" if you want to lose weight (Unless you go to McDonalds and order one of those "Healthy Choice" items, but what's the point? You can make a salad or grilled chicken burger at home and you could most likely make it more healthier, so why waste money?) Remember, losing weight does take time, but if you put your mind to it, then you can achieve anything and you will be satisfied with your results in the end! Good Luck!

Reply from Liz, Age 12 - 06/03/03 - IP#: 24.197.186.xxx Be careful of what you eat. Exersize regularelly and when you see the tv or anything that will slow you down just say yourself "If I wan't to loose weight I have to hold back on this stuff." Intstead of going to a fast food resterant go to a less-fattening place. Drink lots of water!!!
Reply from Ren, Age 14 - 06/03/03 - IP#: 205.188.209.xxx 1st of all, you gotta quit eating fast food! It's not a hard thing to do, PLUS you'll save yourself some money! Next, you have to fight the cravings. Do anything you can before you eat. Play video games, watch a movie that you haven't seen before and hide the remote, or do something else. Then if you still have a craving wait 5 minutes before you get up. Then...wait 5 more... Next, teach yourself to use PORTION CONTROL. That means, if you usually eat a half a bag of Doritos, stop, look at the SERVING SIZE (for Doritos (11 chips), and leave the bag in the kitchen. I know 11 Doritos doesn't seem like a lot, but if you crunch them up you'll have even more (but you'll STILL be eating that 11)... Then exercise is very important. Do things that you like to do, you don't necessarily have to run or do weight training, if you like playing basketball do it. If you like riding your bike do that too. Just as long as you're keeping your heart rate p for 30min or more, you're okay. I knowit seems like a lot, but trust me. In time (time varies for ALL people) you'll see results. *Rena*
