Reply from Maggie, Age 13 - 08/04/11 - IP#: 74.129.206.xxx Hi Emma. I used to do the exact same thing. I am losing weight now because I keep a food diary and I have the book called The Diet for Teenagers Only. Its really helpful in how much food you should eat to lose weight. Also if you start feeling a craving coming on heres some things that can stop it...Drink lots of cold water(it fills you up) Go gurgle with mouthwash and then wait 15 minutes after you spit it out(it will help get a mint kind of taste in your mouth which will help control the cravings) Take a bubble bath or anything else that will get your mind of it. Also stretching helps. Lock yourself in your room with water and dont go to the refrigerator at all! What I do is work on my new goal- Trying to do the splits! So just set a stretching goal and work on it! If after all this you are still hungry then eat food that is hungry and involves work. Such as cherries because then you have to get the pits out and ull end up eating slower. When you chew and savor each bite you get full quicker and you wont eat as much. Just believe that small things will help!! Check out the book if you want! It really helped me!
