Reply from Krystle, Age 18 - 12/23/03 - IP#: 195.93.33.xxx 6pm works for me but everyone is different. It's just best to get into a rountine and then stick to it. Say breakfast at 7am, lunch between 12 - 1pm and Dinner at 6pm. If your still hunrgy some fruit at 8pm as a snack. what do you think?
Reply from Kari, Age 16 - 12/23/03 - IP#: 4.7.44.xxx It is more than cutting down on calories. When you sleep, the extra food you ate beforehand is stored as fat. Thus eating early, that food is already used up as energy and what not and you go to bed with an empty stomach. This is why late night parties arent a good idea b/c people snack a lot and then go to bed. I think 6 is a good idea depending on when you sleep. I generally have dinner at 4:30, eat a fruit at 6, and stop. I go to bed around 1-2 every night, so by the time I fall asleep Im practically starving. But I like it that way. If I were you, I would throw out any "midnight snacks" that would tempt me and focus on fruits and veggies. Best of luck.
Reply from anne, Age 16 - 12/23/03 - IP#: 216.66.108.xxx people seem to think that stopping eating at a certain time of night prevents storage of fat when your metabolism calms for the night but what they're really doing is cutting down calories. i've read in quite a few places that it doesn't matter when you eat- it's the overall ratio of calories consumed:burned that determines your weight gain/loss.
