Reply from lrc, Age 14 - 07/10/04 - IP#: 24.222.137.xxx This is a messege to all OVER-WEIGHT teens.I was over-weight and I know what it feels like.You hate trying on clothes,you feel ugly,you cry at times,you hate going to school dances,your kind of jealous at other people,you get angry and wish you were someone else like beyonce or britney spears.But you know what,you HAVE to say this to yourself {it could be worse}.Because it can be worse.Try not to put yourself down as much,and look at the good things about you and that are going on.Here are some tips to losing weight at home: 1.CUT OUT JUNK FOOD!!!-do not eat any junk food such as chips,bars,pop,fast food stuff like macdonald's hamburgers.Instead eat salads and fruits and vegies,water,etc.Now I know it's gonna be hard to cut out the junk,but trust me,if you wanna lose weight...that's what you got to do. 2.DRINK WATER!!!-I know water may seem gross to some people...but again trust me on this...if you want to lose weight,drink lots of water. 3.DO NOT DRINK POP!!!-Pop is so bad for you.If you are going to drink pop...drink diet or non-dark pop such as orange,sprite,etc. and plus...pop gives you pimples and we all hate them lol=( 3.WALK!!!-Try to walk every night.When first starting out,walk at a normal paste,and make a route and every week go farther than the route. 4.DO NOT EAT AFTER 7:00 PM!!!-If you eat after 7:00 pm,and you do not walk or do any exercise...you will just go to sleep and the fat will be inside you.NOT GOOD.So please do not eat after 7:00!! 5.DO NOT BE COUCH POTATOES!!!-Instead of sitting on the couch watching t.v or on the computer all day...go out for a walk or play some basketball. 6.DO NOT USE THE TERM DIET!!!-The word DIE is in DIET. 7.DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!!!-If you do not eat for a certain amount of time...then you begin to eat...you are going to put weight back on...only TRIPLE YOUR SIZE!!!So please eat your 3 meals!!! and you can have snacks too (NO JUNK!!!) 8.MAKE A CHART!!!You may want to make a chart up for exercising. 9.TRY TO HELP OUT AT HOME-Like doing the dishes or cleaning (I know it sucks lol but just do it) 10.DO NOT PUT YOURSELF DOWN OR LET ANYONE ELSE PUT YOU DOWN!!!-If your parents,friend,sister,brother say anything bad about you...just don't pay any attention to it becuase if you do let it get to you...it will bring you down.
