I have just started college, and no body will talk to me or sit next to me. Girls are ok but guys just ignore me and pretend I dont exist, they are such pigs. I've only been two days, but this is the way I feel right now. When I used to be 150lb everyone was always so nice to me, now i'm 185 and I feel like I dont exist. Do you guys even think that 5'9 185 is even really that big? I mean I know im overweight but its not like im 500 pounds or something so why are people so mean!!??!!

I think that you should not care how others treat u. if they ignore you, they ignore you. so wut? i get teased and wut not because i have freckles, or becasue i am not popular, but i don't let them know that it bugs me. i am sure u do the same. just go on ur way, acting happy, and soon, they will think, " hey, she don't care that I am ignoring her and being cruel to her." and they will find no reason to be mean to you. yes, some things will never change, but don't let it bug you. good luck in college!! wut college r u going to, and wut r you studying and wanting to be?

I went down to 173, and am now at 181, but I am planning and getting back to 150 or 155. Luckily, I have found some wonderful friends who do not care that I'm a bit overweight (for tall people like you and me, and I also have a muscular build, our weights aren't that horrible. However I know what you mean about the guy thing. I have two guy friends. They are both mature enough to see beyond our society's judgment. But I haven't ever been on a date. People need to grow up.

I dont understand why we have to live in a society where you have to be a certain weight, wear certain clothes, talk a certain way, act a certain way, and blah blah blah to be pretty and be respected. It shouldnt be like that. People really need to see past the whole image "thing" and like someone for a personality. It just discusts me how the world i live in is such a cruel one.
