I have cut my calories to 1000 calories per day, and the weight has been falling off, except lately it has stopped! Which is annoying, as i still want to lose another 2 stone. I was about 14 stone 8 lbs, now I am 11 stone 4 lbs. I would like to get to about 9stone. Well worth it though, for by the time I got to school I was wide awake and the scenery along the way was beautiful! I also had a buddy to walk with me so we lost weight together. Then to think about all the stair walking we did in school. I also made it a habit to start walking everywhere I wanted to go. People would ask me if I had a car, of course, but I prefer to walk. During winter I drive and at home after school I will bundle up and walk and also have snowball fights and play in the snow and rain...its all fun in nature! Enjoy what God has given us..life is great as we make it! If you cant go out in winter take laps up and down the stairs. In the summer I walked everywhere and my favorite summer thing is swimming. My butt, abs and legs are in great shape. I have a body I have worked very hard for. I'm a walker going on 3 years. The food I eat is everything in small portions and I eat often. My favorite on the go foods are cherry tomatoes and apples and grapes...favorites! I am also a gum chewer if I cant be close to healthy food. I dont eat chips or chocolate or anything of that sort. Just isnt good ya know! My taste buds just dont want to give up my coke and I would rather it be a drink instead of food, so I let my craving for coke be pleased. Coke is the only sweets I have. Remember no junk food and constant movement is great for your health! Next brain smarts. Dont start eatting disorders. I met a girl last year which we became good friends and she's a bulimic and now in couseling trying to get her life back and has had to learn to eat healthy and not worry about being skinny just happy! Happy is the key if you are active and happy the weightloss comes easily. Just get busy and make it fun! What I did 3 years ago and I dont regret it. Hope this help someone! (view less)

From Hannah, Age 13, female - 08/20/03 - IP#: 67.25.91.xxx Hey! my name is Hannah when I started middle school in 6th grade a lot of people teased me that i barely new i got affended bye them i was only 114 lb. but as time went on i just gained weight so now i am going into 9th grade and I came to this website at 150 lb. now i am 130 going into 9th grade i feel great i jusst cut down on all the junk food and when i went grocery shopping i always walked bye the candy aisle and i was addicted i did not know whjat to do so i went more to the fruit and veggie areas and picked out stuff i enjoyes eating and liked i also ate salads without dressing cuz dressing is what really gets you. I also exersised each day well i am on the swim team and so I went to practice every day for 1 and a half hours. But people still made fun of me but all you gotta do is stick your chin up high and walk away cause only you can determain how you wanna be. just STICK with it and youll loose a lot of weight

She had puppies this year and we decided to keep one. Basset hounds are very social animals, and our mamma basset hound trained our puupy to run over to our neighbors. One day when they were over there our puppy got ran over and died. This was very hard on me as he was my puppy. I used to go on walks with him and pick him up and carry him when he was tired. My sister had this idea to go on more walks to try and lose weight. We've both lost weight, and we found it easier because we were walking, like we did with our dog, and it sort of helped us to push ourselves more.
