Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Thanks a lot. |
Message Replying To From Lauren, Age 17 Ht. 5'5, Wt. --- - I haven't posted here in a while, but I just want to let you go that I'm still going strong. I've lost 22 pounds in all, and I'm hoping to lose 15 more by July 4th, maybe even a bit more. My biggest problem is that I need to realize that this is a lifestyle change, and that even though it is okay to let myself have a treat once in a while, I have to do that in moderation as well. I can't be too strict, yet I can't let myself go. I also can't weigh myself every day. That's a big no no. For example, yesterday I reached my short term goal, but I let myself have a day off and I ended up eating 2 chocolate chip cookies and some other unhealthy stuff. Today I weighed myself and I was upet to find that maybe I weighed a pound or less more than yesterday. *sigh* I'm sure I can fix that. Weight fluctuates anyways. There isn't much advice I can give; it is all common sense. Just eat right and exercise. I usually walk 2 miles pretty much 4-5 days a week. Then, I eat right. Usually that means no junk food at all. Drink lots of water and discover healthy snacking. I've found that popsicles are pretty good. The ones I have are 46 calories a piece. I'm going to get into more stuff now that it is summertime - lift weights, leg lifts. Even though my revised goal is 15 lbs more, I'd like to maybe lose a bit more than that, so that if I gain a pound or two now and then, I won't feel bad, even though I can lose it quickly as well. Good luck to the rest of you. ;) |
