Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Thanks a lot. |
Message Replying To From Isabella, Age 13 Ht. 5'5", Wt. 166 - 'Sup peeps?! LOL anyhow I just wanted to send out a big thank you to all of you guys for being so supportive and wonderful! (((hugs))) I also know a few of you were curious about what I've been doing. Well first my stats: I was 184lbs in Feb. 2006 and 5ft. 4in. now I am 166.2lbs and 5ft. 5in. My current goal for graduation is 160 and my ultimate goal (thinking next summer) is 145-150. Alright, well I've been raving about this book called The Diet for Teenagers Only! It's a plan. It's a slow lifestyle change they you will use forever. It will show you how to eat right for your growing body and exercise and feel good about yourself. It talks about eating disorders. It's very personalized for your calorie category! It's not a fad and it's magnificent and I've been following it since October 2005 when I felt totally and utterly hopeless. As far as exercise is concerned, well I'm at that stage where now i have food under control for the most part but I'm trying to add in workouts. I have P.E. once a week and our gym teacher's a hard-care kickboxer, so I do lots of drills and classic gym workouts (jumping jacks, squats, push-ups, etc.) so when I do things at home I try to do something twice a week. My favs are my Weight Watchers cardio/strength training DVD, Pilates, yoga, and dancing! Whenever I can I try to do this local drop-in salsa class at this academy down the street. Also, doing more of little things totally helps. Take the stairs, walk, do squats while brushing your teeth, etc. And when I feel like a treat and, I'm only allowed to eat sweets twice a week. This is so not as scary as it sounds, and eventually it becomes fun and you love to watch you BMI drop and your pants get too baggy. :0) Good luck all! |
