Message Replying To From Hannah, Age 17 Ht. 5'1", Start: 180 lb, Today: 160 lb, Goal: 135 lb - Okay, rather than commenting on EVERYONE's bulletins, I've decided to just answer all of your questions in one post. First off, in order to lose weight you will need to eat right, and exercise. There are no quick fixes. Everybody's body is different and everyone will need to do different things in order to lose weight. Start by reducing the amount of food that goes into your mouth. Its takes 3500 calories to make a pound. so if you cut out 500 calories a day, you will lose 1 pound a week. By exercising, you burn off even more calories, resulting in more weight lost. now what kind of food do you put in your body?? Well protein is very important because it builds muscle and muscle burns fat. Fiber rich foods help you feel full, and its always good to eat COLORFUL veggies and fruit. Drink LOTS and LOTS of water. Unsweetened tea is good too but water is the best. As for exercising, cardio NEEDS to be done in order to lose fat. Doing crunches and lifting weights only strengthen the MUSCLE but don't eliminate the fatty tissue around the muscle. Cardio like running, swimming, dancing, biking, or any other exercise that gets your heart pumping(HARD) will reduce fat. While you do your cardio you will also be gaining muscle. As for cravings, try brushing your teeth, i tend to not want to eat after my breath is minty fresh! Also buy some sugar free jello(10 calories a cup) They really kill a sugar craving. Hope i helped! |
