Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Thanks a lot. |
Message Replying To From Steph, Age 18 Ht. 5'8", Start: 220 lb, Today: 191 lb, Goal: 130 lb - Hey I'm Steph and I'm from NZ. I've struggled with being overweight since form 2 (12 years old) when I first started to get bullied by the girls in my class. It lasted 5yrs, and I finally got some closure after joining a church and youth group where I made alot of friends and had the chance to share what happened to me infront of 400 people. I have been trying to lose weight alone after joining weight watchers but finding it hard to stick to. I feel disappointed with myself because I was meant to have lost twice as much weight as I have lost by now, because I wanted to get to 130 pounds after a year, but I am proud of myself for keeping the weight I have lost off. I'm not really sure where to go from here, because I haven't really been in "diet mode" for months and I know when I push myself to exercise on a regular basis, that's when I get my results. I lost 10kilo's in 2 months when I was doing everything properly, and the further three kilo's took 4 months because I wasn't really putting any effort in. We are currently in the middle of winter and getting outside is a real drag and we live a long way from town where I have a gym membership, and with the price of petrol these days it nearly doesn't seem worth it. Any pointers? I've started to use fruit and yoghurt as my main snack inbetween meals and I'm trying to ease back into exercise but I'm not sure how long this will last. I haven't put any of the weight back on, and I no longer binge eat at night time, but I don't feel like I've made any real progress in the last three months! |
