~REPLY WRITING AREA~ |
Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Thanks a lot. |
Message Replying To From Julia, Age 17 Ht. 6'0", Start: 225 lb, Today: 220 lb, Goal: 170 lb - YOU GUYS. I used to come on this website ALL THE TIME when I was in middle school. Seriously, if you go back in the Pre-Teen boards and search my name, tons of posts from me will come up. I just spent the past 20 minutes reading them over, and I'm pretty disappointed and sad with myself. Little Julia wasn't happy and wanted to change her life.. change the way she saw herself and the way others saw her as well. I feel the same way 5 years later. This is a huge wake up call. 5 years ago when I was worried about looking "good" for my first day of middle school, it seemed like the most important thing to me. Now in a month and a half I'll be going to my first day of senior year. I still have the same mindset as a pubescent, wheezing 13 year old. I'm still insecure, and I still want to lose a significant amount of weight. Of course I fell off track with my weight loss and managed to gain a hefty amount. Thankfully I'm freakishly tall so it doesn't look as bad as it would if I was short. BUT STILL. I want to lose this weight to be HEALTHY, not just to "look good." I deserve it. Younger Julia deserves it. I wrote all of this out to be a lesson for us all: don't let yourself down. I've made that mistake, but now I see where I went wrong and I'm completely motivated to accomplish what I set out to do so many years ago. Peace everyone, and good luck :) |
