If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Message Replying To From Jessica, Age 25 All of you guys should not be concerned with fad diets. You all are very young and are still growing. Some of you who are a little chubby or fat now, may thin out in a few years, especially you boys, most of you aren't even 5 feet tall! However, it is good that you guys are concerned about your weight early--- Remember those of you who are trying to lose weight fast WILL gain it back and more very quick-- IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT HERE IS SOME ADVISE-- --EXERCISE-AT LEAST A FEW TIMES A WEEK--THIS INCLUDES WALKING, SPORTS, GOING TO THE MALL, ETC. ---YOU DON'T LOSE WEIGHT SITTING ON YOUR BUTT-- --EAT HEALTHY--You don't have to give up food you love but you do have to eat in moderation. Calories do count and if you eat more calories than you burn, you don't lose. However if you don't eat enough calories you store fat. Girls should have about--1500 cal. and Boys about-2000 cal. --Do not skip meals--it is very important that you eat, if you skip a meal your body will start fasting to store energy therefore you will store FAT, if your hungry EAT. That's what people do. --Stay away from fast food, and sodas. This is a big one!! --It is healthy to lose no more than 2 lbs a week. Like I said, if you lose more than that, you'll gain it back and then some. --Only weigh yourself weekly, in the morning, nude--Any other time of the day, your weight can vary 3-4 lbs day to day.
