Message Replying To From Michelle, Age 14 Ashley is right. You can't survive on less than 1200 calories a day. You can seriously hurt your body if you eat less than that. The best thing to do is exercise off the extra calories with controlled moderate exercise. You should eat about 1800-2400 calories a day (girls lower, guys higher) then exercise for about a half an hour. If you notice, most skinny people are in sports or some type of group or class that keeps them moving. Skipping meals slows your metabolism, while eating right and exercising keeps your metabolism running the fastest it can. Just think of it as a burning fire. A fire needs fuel and oxygen to stay bright and burning. We get fuel from the food we eat and oxygen from exercising. Please take care of your body, you have to live with it for a life time. |
