Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight. This offends the kids who really are overweight. Thanks a lot. |
Message Replying To From Aida, Age 16 Ht. 5'6, Wt. 170 - Fad diets can suck. Only eating tuna or chicken for your life is ridiculously stupid. You have to eat a variety of foods not just one type. And five or Six meals a day is good because it speeds up your metabolism. VERY small portions though, you can't pig out five-six meals. Eating every three hours is good for your mid section, again the speeding metabolism and your stomach will be immune to digesting the food faster. -Like corn-flakes or something for breakfast and then three hours later like a peice of whole wheat bread with fried in (olive oil) veggies and then like after three more hours a bowl of fruit. In the midst of all this: WATER POWER! Cardio is awesome so do that as well...what really helps (I think) is CRAZY DANCING! lol like dance alone in your room with the door locked (what I do...) and just shake it allll offf, that's the best way. Every part of your body is in motion and calories are being burned every second. Rock out on a crazy song, it's fun and healthy so try it! Hmm what else? oh righto, make sure to check the scale. Don't be afraid of the number, you can't be afraid of the number...remember...YOU OWN THE NUMBER! It's under your power whether you want it to go up or down so you can't just frown and NOT look at what you weigh. I used to do that...but now the scale is like my teddy bear. Crazy cardio... walk A LOT even if its around your house and when you sit, don't lounge like a sloppy sock on the couch...keep your posture straight and sit up. "When you eat, eat slowly and chew all your food and savor every bit of it" (...From the book "Why French Women don't get fat") Don't avoid the mirror, Look at your reflection and tell it what to do! Push ups can be really difficult to do, because you have to be lifting up your whole body weight and face it, we aren't thinny Mc. Thinners so we have a lot to lift. What I do is ...a push up on the wall. I do 40 a day and it could burn a bit but it's SO easy and it really works! my arms have gotten so much thinner...the wall is great to do it on so just do it on the wall if the floor push ups are hard for you. These are the things that I usually do, plus 100 situps a day. I've lost 32 lbs so far. I'm very pleased with my self though I'm hoping to lose 45 more lbs to reach my goal weight of *125*. I hope all this advice helped!!! Good Luck and stay strong! :) |
