Ht. 5'5", Wt. 143 - Hey people! i posted earlier today, but I was researching how to lose weight and I came across a really great way. Its totally healthy and kids can use the diet as well as adults. The diet is called Negative Calories. You can get a book about it called Foods That Cause You to Lose Weight: The Negative Calorie Effect, by Neal Barnard. If you don't want the book, just look up negative calories on google. The whole idea of the diet is that you eat food that takes more calories to burn than it has in it. For example, if you eat a piece of broccoli that has 25 calories, your body needs 80 calories to digest it, so it will take 55 calories out of your body fat. So the more broccoli you eat, the more weight you lose. Some other fruits and vegetables that have negative calories are: asparagus,beet,broccoli,green cabbage,carrots,cauliflower,celery,chicory,chili peppers, cucumbers,endive,garlic,lettuce,onions,papayas,spinich,turnip,zucchini, apples, cranberries,grapefruit, lemons,mangoes,oranges,pineapples, raspberries,strawberries, tangerines,limes. So you can eat a million apples, and you will just lose that much more. So eat your fruits and veggies!! This can work the other way though. If you eat a dessert that has 400 calories and you only need 100 to digest it, 300 extra calories go to your fat. So eat more strawberries and less strawberry cheesecakes! Negative calories are supposed to work great and many people have lost weight from it.
