~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 5'4, Wt. st 185 now 162 - sooo i sent this to the other girl who asked about my weight loss and figured i would share it with you all too... okay so i this time (the only time i actually lost weight) i didn't go on a diet. as cliche as it sounds i made a complete lifestyle change and most importantly i didn't deprive myself. I started with cutting out soda. all soda even diet. i mean the stuff can dislove batter acid not something i really want in my body. after a month or so of no soda. food changed started. Everything i ate was just in smaller portions. ive never like greesy fired food so that wasn't a problem. everything i eat is baked or grilled. i eat tons and tons and tons of fruit and veggies if i get hungry i get some carrots and low fat ranch and water to help the hunger. i still eat ice cream. but i get small and no toppings. its just little things that you need to change forever ecause a "diet" will not work. mybe for a while but it always comes back unless your going to stick with it your whole life. instead of getting hanburgers i get chicken and veggies. yes it takes longer for you to lose weight by just cutting back but it stays off and i still eat what i want just not as much. basically i stick to tons and fruits and veggies, salads, chicken fish (grilled and baked only no fried) umm i dont eat fast food AT ALL. thats a personal choice tho. you can make good choices at fast food places. just moderation is soooooooooooooo important. Lord knows ive slipped and binged ive gained back pounds that i lost and had to lose them all over. but i never stopped. i had breakdowns where i swore i was done and i didn't care but the next day i just got back on track. I also excersise almost everyday. i spend usually about 1-2 hours at the gym. i started out only doing pliates and or the eliptical for 30 minutes. i worked up to the 2 hours at the gym. its simple good diet and excersise. the media and everyone else makes it seem so difficult and that you need to do it fast and on a diet. when the truth is they only work for a little bit. Your not going to get results over night it took me 4 months to see a difference and really think wow im doing good. just dont give up cause when you start getting people telling you how good you look and pretty and blah blah blah its amazing. and it feels awesome. i hope i helped and didn't seem to cliche and retarded lol. good luck sweety. <3 sami.
